No one can say that they've visited Macedonia without visiting Ohrid.  City in the southwestern part of the country, situated on the shore of the oldest European lake, Lake Ohrid.

Notable for once having had 365 churches, one for each day of the year, and has been referred to as a "Jerusalem of the Balkans". The city is rich in picturesque houses and monuments, and tourism is predominant.

In 1979 and in 1980, Ohrid and Lake Ohrid were accepted as Cultural and Natural World Heritage Sites by UNESCO. In fact, Ohrid is one of only 28 sites around the World, that is part of UNESCO's World Heritage which are both Cultural and Natural sites.

Tour discription

After we will pick you up from your accommodation or from some other previously arranged location, we will have an around three hours drive to Ohrid. If necessary we can stop along the way and take a break from the ride.

Upon arrival, we can either have a short coffee break, or we can immediately start with the sightseeing tour. The tour will be conducted by the local licensed tour guide, who will take you around the old town, where you gonna see the most important landmarks of Ohrid. During the walk, you will hear a lot of interesting stories about the past and the present of Ohrid.

We will ask our guide to give us some recommendations for some local restaurants in case you want to have lunch and also you will have some time to discover the city on your own.

On your wish, we can also go and visit the famous St.Naum Monastery on the other side of the lake (30-40min drive from Ohrid), where you can enjoy the beautiful nature, hopefully, see the peacocks and the place where the river Drim enters the Ohrid Lake too.

Finally, we will head back to Skopje.
